This session will explore the challenges faced by the members of the traffic and travel information supply chain as they work with evolving infrastructure, technologies, and user needs. Among the challenges: how to provide coherent services by a range of communications channels, including broadcast or interactive; ensuring content provided by different channels isn’t contradictory; matching broadcast services to variable message signs and other official information; how to handle service provision with “islands” of higher performance; and how to convey the benefits of enhanced services to customers.
