Panasonic tests AGORA-C successfully in Japan
TISA member Panasonic has successfully implemented and tested location referencing method AGORA-C (ISO 17572) in Japan.
AGORA-C supports accurate location referencing without needing pre-encoded locations or needing the source and destination of a message to use the same reference map.
According to Tetsurou Yamashita of Panasonic,
"We applied DLR based on ISO17572-3 to Japan digital map and evaluated the hit-rate in "Information Grand Voyage Project FY2008 of Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry". Finally, we achieved the good results which fully will be able to adapt DLR to Japan digital map. So we made a document in the hope that we inform TISA members of our trials and results"
